The second episode of Twenty Five Twenty One begins in the present, with Min-Chae telling her grandmother about the garden and how different things are now. They also discuss the IMF incident and the subsequent “gold rush,” though she emphasizes that she never sold the gold rings. These rings are important to Hee-Do, and as we move forward in time, we continue our story with Hee-Do and Yi-Jin.
Hee-first Do’s day of school arrives, and she is escorted in by her mother. She quickly meets the headmaster, Shin Jae-Kyung, and begins to adjust to the co-ed school. Given that Hee-Do grew up in an all-girls environment, this is a big change for her.
